Three Mills Wall River Weir is a weir on the River Lea, in the London Borough of Newham, near to Three Mills.
The weir has been constructed across the Three Mills Wall River (also known as Shortwall) by British Waterways[1] to control the levels in the Bow Back Rivers and make then navigable for barges during the Olympic Park, London construction phase and after the games, in conjunction with the Three Mills Lock, a lock.
The weir leads restricts the House Mill and Clock Mill mill pound, which used to extend to the Lea Bridge Sluices at Lea Bridge Road. The lock and weir came into operation in 2009.[2][3]
